What to do near Angel/Kings Cross?

So, tomorrow, I am taking the train to London. I get in at 2 and will have about 2.5 hours to kill before a meeting in Angel (and then I am taking the sleeper back up).

What can I do that is nice in that time in that area (are they even near each other? I have no idea. Train Gets into Kings Cross, then meeting is in Angel). I don't want to travel too far as I freak out on the tube. I have already planned to go to Loop for a couple of book projects, but then what? I know I can kill time in Starbucks (have I ever mentioned how much I love Starbucks? I am not even joking. The nearest one is 33 miles away and I always take them as a sign to mean I am in the big city as the ALWAYS have soy milk)...but what else would be nice to do?

Dammit I was going to suggest Loop! There are lots of nice antique and vintage shops near Loop in Camden Passage. Or if you want to stay in Kings X, have a look at what's showing at the Wellcome Gallery - they also have a lovely cafe. It's a short Tube journey or longish bus ride from Kings X to Angel, not far but not exactly near.

Kings Place is quite nice for hanging out in...there's a cafe there, but I think it's just a general hangout space too..

I would walk kings x to angel especially if you have time to kill. If you have an A to Z or a map on your phone then you can wander off the main road and there are some pretty squares to walk through and huuuuuge houses to ogle. Other than that I'm afraid I can't help much. I used to live in angel but it was a very long time ago so I could only really help if you needed a pub, bar or restaurant recommendation.

Go to exmouth market - not a market so much as v cool foodie street with good vibe

Angel isn't far, a bus or quick tube ride. I'd just pootle around, it's a nice place to there's a crazy taxidermy shop, and plenty of vintagey stuff and some lovely boutiquey posh shops as you go north towards islington. I'd be willing to wager that most cafes there have soya milk!

If wellcome trust is.closed I'd go to British library. It's amazing and has wonderful exhibitions. The market at the back of Angel is also nice. Guardian building is nice and relaxing for coffee and feeling all journalisty! Enjoy. I work around there but am not there tomorrow, sadly.

Take the 73 bus from kx to angel. I wouldn't bother with the tube and it's a bit further than I would want to walk in your situ. Depending on show times, the little angel puppet theatre is lovely but nearer to the top end of angel. Aternatively you could take the tube 1 stop (victoria line) to highbury and Islington instead and then you can walk down upper street towards angel tube, past cafes, shops etc. And laugh at the ridiculous prices in estate agent windows
