Last minute break near Axminster

Besides going to the River Cottage Canteen, any recommendations for the Axminster area? Happy to use it as our base to travel further afield, so suggestions from the wider area are good too, particularly any wet weather type activities as the forecast isn't looking too promising for Easter!
