Blue Reef Aquarium - Portsmouth

...people to see. Well, not really. More like 'we went to the Umbrella Museum in Ashby de la Zouch and it was GREAT.' If there is such a thing, that is.

Blue Reef Aquarium - Portsmouth

Does anyone know if there's anywhere good to eat nearby?

We went to the Oceanarium in Bournemouth recently. It was perfect - free return entry, right on the beach, plus a huge Harry Ramsden's opposite - kept the monsters busy and happily entertained all day.

I know the Portsmouth one is right on the beach too, but can't think of anywhere nearby for lunch. I could take a picnic, but it's a lot of effort for not much fun if the weather's foul.

There's lots of places at Gunwarf quays, about 5 mibs drive from there. Inc pizza express, wagamama, possibly a Jamie's Italian plus all your usual chains.
