Thank you everyone! The baby is lovely and L is absolutely inchanted with her. He would spend the day softly stroking her cheeks and her soft hair if he could. I have to keep chasing him off and telling him maybe she would like a break from being touched, but he is super gentle with her (so far) and it is really sweet to see.

I've sent L and dh off to the library and baby is sleeping so I feel like I am finally getting a tiny bit of "me time." There are dishes that could use washing, but I know if I leave them dh will (eventually) take care of them, so I might as well relax with some internet time and some chocolate gelato while I have the chance.

Baby girl had a bit of jaundice and we had to bring her back to the hospital a few times to get bilirubin levels checked, but the numbers have started dropping so she is all clear now. She's still in the super-sleepy newborn phase and I'm enjoying that she actually lets me set her down in her crib or the bouncy chair once she's asleep. Except of course at night when the only thing that will do is to either be in Mama's arms or sleeping in our bed. We're working on getting her used to the crib as we're not really big on co-sleeping, but for now she is running the show. :)
