Found: a nursing bra that's not hideous!

Postby RedRum » 24 Feb 2015, 07:54

I've long outgrown my pre-preg bras and really didn't want to spend a fortune on new underwear that I'd only get a few months out of so I've been on the hunt for decent nursing bras for a while (surviving in sports bras in the interim!) Having tried on a whole bunch in M&S and almost resigned myself to spending the next however long feeling like a dairy cow in hideous underwear I found this one: http://www.next.co.uk/g6j2s3#689825g6j It fits really nicely, is supportive, flattering and comfortable, and a million miles away from all the awful cone boobed monstrosities I thought I was just going to have to put up with.

Just thought if share the love.

That's very similar to the ones I get from brasivimo! I love a "sexy" nursing bra!

I had elle macpherson ones with R, but they cost a bomb and I don't have that kind of budget this time round. I thought this one was really good for the price.

That's lovely. Being giant of nork I am stuck with cone-boobed monstrosities :( I have some Elomi ones that aren't too terrible.

I often find Elle Macpherson underwear in TK Maxx in case that's worth a look?

Thanks RedRum, I had 2 horrible ones from mothercare which I finally replaced last year when it was obvious Moo wasn't giving up any time soon. Got slightly more acceptable but boring ones, I will treat myself to at least 1 nice one this time round!

For those of us less bounteously blessed, TopShop do surprisingly nice ones - but soft and flexible rather than supportive. But another vote for Elle McPherson here too. Mine are less glamorous now than they were when Iz was born but they definitely still count as 'best'.

I love the phrase giant of nork. Thanks for increasing my lexicon, ph.

I'm really struggling to find an attractive nursing bra - ideally something other than black or white. They are all so BORING!! RR's lacy link appears to have disappeared.

Any recommendations?

If you search nursing bra on the next website it still brings up the lacy one rr linked to. Might go & invest myself actually.
