Lol, didn't know peasants were good at clearing up thrush.

I'm also clueless on rhogram shots.

Rhogam is the US term for the anti-D shot, usually recommended when you have a rhesus-negative blood type but the father is rhesus-positive; therefore, your baby has a chance of being positive and the development of antibodies against possible future babies is a problem :)

Edited to change 'husband' to 'father'

Oh man.. it now seems as though Dylan may have chicken pox! :? He doesn't seem particularly unwell in himself but has several suspicious looking spots on his back, stomach and face, and a couple on one arm too.

I did have chicken pox as a child but I'm not sure whether that's relevant to the risks during pregnancy..?

As I understand it you and baby are not at risk if you've definitely had chicken pox.

And congrats on your boy brood!

That's what I thought too (that you are not at risk if you've already had it) but as I understand it you can ask your midwife to check your resistance?

What they said. Ds1 had it during my pregnancy and I was told as I'd had it, it was fine. Amusing moment though when I rang gp for advice about ds' temperature & she said not to brin him to the surgery as they might be pg women there. She was a stumped when I said I was pg!

I'm seeing the midwife on Wednesday afternoon so presumably I could just speak to her about it then? Or might it be better to give her a call on Monday? I am sure my Mum said I have had it.. everything suddenly feels a little more real today though, so maybe that's why I'm worrying more?

Totally fed up. Am now more pregnant than I was when I delivered munchkin. Have had period cramps and painful Braxton hicks for days, have lost plug, and feel heavy and horrible. Utterly exhausted, too.

And no sign of baby!

Wish these children came with an egg timer, or pains only started when they were starting for real. Can't cope with this 'is it, isn't it?'. At least with munchkin my waters going was unmistakeable, and then the induction meant that any contractions were definitely 'real'! None of this 'practice labour' rubbish...

((((Hugs to anyone else also feeling pants))))

Yeay for more boys, DIM!

Oh NK - that is a hard stage - when you know it is coming soon, but nothing has really started yet. I lost my plug at 34w 4d, was having contractions every 15 minutes for stretches by 34w 6d, and was in full early stage labour by 35w6d with my water only breaking late at 36w0d... about an hour before my water broke he obviously turned from back to back and slipped into position, so hopefully all this pre-labour/ early labour stuff is working towards a smooth delivery.

I am feeling very stretched and tight and crowded. Which is fine, but I think we have had a growth spurt this week. Luckily so far I don't have the swelling I did by this point on J, as that was bad. My sciatica has calmed down again and it is just my hips that hurt. I am so lucky DH is home because he is endlessly understanding and helpful with J and meals and so on. (It took a while to get to this point! :))

I am having a good bit of braxton hicks and some cervical/ cramping/ twinges etc that make me wonder and worry a touch. It is always in the back of my head that J was early (albeit 36w) and this one could come the same - might be less trouble if we weren't an hour away from the hospital. But all the same things are going fine and I don't know that I have a reason to worry... so yeah, an egg time would be nice! Lol.

Come on babies!
Just wet myself badly during a coughing fit. Really really need to start doing some pelvic floor exercises. And stop eating so much sugar - I'd forgotten that was a factor in thrush.
