Can I use deep heat/tiger balm or anything similar while I'm pregnant? Got serious neck pain that is radiating into my head :(

I'm not sure about tiger balm but I know you can't use anything with ibuprofen in it.

I was prescribed by a doctor some ibuleave when I was 9 weeks pregnant only to be told off by the midwife who said they are a big no no.

Instead use heat/cold packs. Nice warm baths and gently massage it if you can. Paracetamol will help and you can have a maximum of 60mg of codeine in 24 hours if needed so over the counter co-codomol is OK. Just don't take it with the paracetamol obviously

I became hugely sensitive to tiger balm when pg put it on without thinking and had to wash it straight off, I don't think it is recommended. Warm wheat packs help me or just putting dressing gown on the radiator before putting it on so it is warm really helps.
