RR I feel exactly the same about all the stuff we're likely to get! It feels so ungrateful, but we've got so much left from Toots (and we're not travelling, the house is just full!) I didn't use our pram at all (except when the in-laws were up, they paid for it!) Toots only went into the buggy when she was 18 months maybe?

In an ideal world, people will buy us lots of nice clothes in a sensible range of sizes, and my mum and the inlaws can buy us a big ticket item, like a moby or a sleepyhead pod, and we'll be sorted. I can dream right?

It's hard isn't it? Third time round there is very little we need. The inlaws got us a new pram for ds as it was their first grandchild & they wanted to do something. This time the most useful thing we though of was money towards a single bed for ds when baby needs the cot but they didn't seem keen on that! I think they are going to get a nice wooden toy box to hide stuff away in instead!!

I've got quite a few bits of clothes in various sizes kept too, in a range of sizes, but this one is a different season so I expect clothes will be useful to some extent! We're just slightly concerned about the volume of pink we may be inundated with :s

We got LOTS of pink last time and I refused to put toots in it! I just don't *do* pink, or proper outfits on babies under 6 months  I dyed some and re-gifted/donated others to charity shops. That's my plan this time round - if I know it won't be used it's going straight to someone who will :)
Pondering asking for a sleepyhead pod from my family/in-laws after seeing that thread, but can't decide. We didn't have a moses basket for Toots, she tended to sleep on me! But I can see that isn't going to be practical with a 4 year old to look after too... :?

Hi treek!

No nursery here either. Izbiz was in with us till he was 14mo so I figure we've got a while to work something out. Either the new one will share with Iz when the time comes, or DH will get kicked out of his study and move his desk downstairs to the extension (although I'd feel a bit guilty about that as DH's study in our old flat became Iz's room).

I'm starting to get impatient to feel some movement. Last time, I had an anterior placenta so didn't feel anything till very late. I want more this time!

No nursery here either. L never had one and is still in with us at two. No idea what we're doing yet this time around as we're not sure if we'll be moving house before the baby comes. If we stay here L may move into his own room, or we might just be all in together for a bit!

Am off to the midwife in a little while & hoping she'll do a sweep. Would really like to have this baby before half term so we can all just hibernate for the week! Had lots of tightening so last night, much more frequent than I've had before but of course it all stopped when I went to bed. Hope that means something is getting ready to start though!

Although I am ready not to be pregnant I'm feeling a bit apprehensive about labour which isn't going to help. Trying to tell myself I've done this twice before & last time was a pretty good experience so no reason this won't be!

Sweep a no go, she could barely get to my cervix, it was tuck right behind baby's head! Booked another for Sunday.

Bump measuring 39cm today but has been slowly tailing off over last 4-6 weeks which no-one else seems to have picked up on so off for a growth scan in a hour. Hoping they don't want to induce as my body clearly isn't ready!

So one kidney is multicystic and not functioning, the other is duplex and lower half is functioning ok. There may also be a small hole in the heart. Growth is still small but has grown consistently over the three weeks. They want to do an amnio and screen for infections. Don't really want to do an amniocentesis but it might help rule stuff out.
