That's one for The Rage thread Kanga :)

I saw a GP today who was actually NICE. She is new at my surgery. I wish she has been there from the start of this pregnancy! She believed everything I said (I usually get the sense they think I am exaggerating, at best) and signed me off for a further two months and arranged for me to have my medication on repeat prescription, saying there was no need to come in every couple of weeks as at this point it looks unlikely that I will be well enough to stop the medication before the pregnancy ends, and that I could just come back if I felt I wanted to return to work.

Other than that I am feeling uncomfortable and intrigued as to what my bump measures (see midwife in two weeks) as I feel huge already (23 weeks) and my shins really hurt if I walk too far! Baby is pretty active, non stop kicks in late afternoon. I've had my first appointment with the mental health well being team - the counsellor was nice, she had no idea what HG is but she didn't pretend to either which I appreciated. She doesn't think I'm depressed but said I had a lot of guilt, particularly in respect of not being a great mummy to B, that it would be helpful to talk over, so I'm seeing her weekly.

Wow p_h that is such a positive post. So glad you've finally found a gp with some common sense and really glad the mental health team sounds supportive.

And yes you're right about the rage thread!

p_h, what a great update from you. :)

nearlymum, I hope your conversation with dh goes well. Maybe he needed some time to process it after you first brought it up? Though it would have been nice for him to give you some response!

I am feeling so much more exhausted this time than I remember being last time around (although dh says I was exhausted then too, I didn't think it hit until much later on.) I have been napping nearly every day when L naps and I'm still ready to collapse into bed in the evenings! Of course it doesn't help that L is teething (again) and has been waking 3-4 times a night for the past few nights. I'm also already having a hard time getting comfortable in bed which is just silly since I haven't gained any weight and don't have a belly yet.

Insomnia has hit here too Treeb - I think I need to get a knitting project started so I have something productive yet mindless to do at 4am.

Lovely to hear you sounding so chirpy ph!

There's no one after me on the roll call thread :s

Just been into town & got feeding bras & a soft toy for the baby. Bras were the last job I needed to get done, apart from making sure bag is properly packed, so hoping I relax now & something happens!! Someone at school this morning said it looks like it's dropped but the mw yesterday said the head isn't very low!

Eek kanga! Lots of relaxing vibes your way.

Scan this morning and we got to see the heartbeat. I'm so enormously relieved. Also quite relieved that there was only one, I had had a bit of a feeling and we are well overdue in my twin heavy family! Anyway, dates confirmed as 8+3, EDD 19 May (2 days after R's!), sighs of relief all round! X

Edited for typos and because I got the dates wrong

Is anyone officially in charge of updating the roll call atm? If not, I'm happy to take it on.

I thought it was Rahgamuffin, but that may just be because she did the first post!
