hope all's gone well, Fozza, and that you get some news soon, RR.
I've got an extra scan tomorrow. Disadvantage of having an early scan -abdominal wall hadn't closed up yet last week, which was normal at that stage, but sounds like that's a reason why they usually wait until 12-14 weeks so they can check this has happened properly. So it's probably completely fine, but I can't help thinking what if it isn't. I'm also worrying that I can't feel anything. But I haven't felt anything for three months. It's just that now I definitely know it's there -I've heard its heart beat and seen it kicking about.

(((RR))) chase the mw she might be able to get you an early scan. It could be that where you are in your cycle means different hormones and you feel less sick. I tracked my cycle thru the first three months and really noticed a difference in symptoms(not that I had many!) tomorrow is one more day to cRoss off.

Forgot I posted that earlier. We were there for 4hours in the end.
Scan was not great. The heart was all ok but they were concerned about the growth it is off the chart ie 1-2wks behind and baby has cysts on both kidneys. They are wondering if my dates are out because I had a private dating scan (I trust the Dr that did it but still hoping he got it wrong!). Also cysts can go and don't always mean bad things. Another scan in 3wks to check growth. Fingers crossed please.

(((((Fozza)))))

Not sure if you pressed send too soon, but I really truly hope whatever it is is nothing serious. Healthy happy thoughts on their way xxxx

Mw has already referred me for an early scan, it's the hospital that hasn't been in touch. I texted her today though and she said give it a few more days.

X-posted - sorry it wasn't all plan sailing. What happens next, will they just monitor it? So sorry you have more to worry about xx

Sorry I misread.

Yes they will see what the growth is like in three weeks at the anomaly scan and if same 1-2wks behind then they will use those dates. If it's worse then obv something wrong and will discuss further testing etc. I hope baby has a massive growth spurt because we all know babies growth is not linear ;-) At previous cardiac scans they only checked the heart so never had this stress before.

I have to stay positive that he didn't refer me off anywhere, they could be anomalies of scanning at 18wks but it's soooo hard not to see the two things and link them. Scared.

Holding you and your tiny bean in my thoughts and hoping with all my heart that the next scan shows that things are developing as they should be.

I think we were both posting and editing at the same time! I really hope the next scan gives you some reassurance.

Oh Fozza, that sounds awful. My scan was fine - it's all closed up as it should. But after 10 days with it hanging over me, even though I knew it would probably be fine, I can't imagine how you must be feeling. So look after yourself over the next 3 weeks.
