I can't imagine what that's like ph, how awful. Hope the scan goes well. Have you got a feeling about the sex?

Yay for scans nm and very exciting to have a private scan p_h. Hope the sonographer is better for tomorrow! And some more ((())) for the sickness, I just can't imagine how you cope with it.

Hope the booking in goes ok Lily. I had that 'I've made this up' feeling with this one. Apart from being exhausted I didn't feel much, less sick than the others which wasn't very much, and right up to the scan I didn't quite believe it. Even after that until it started moving it was very surreal!

Thanks Kanga - my midwife is lovely, so that was good. But unfortunately I won't be seeing her again for a long while: she's had to refer me to the consultant for my 16 week appt because I had a substantial PPH last time, so even if he refers me straight back to her (which she thought was likely), I'll be 24 weeks next time I see her. Bit sad about that, especially as I really don't understand how having had a PPH can possibly be a risk factor at this stage in the pregnancy, as opposed to at the actual birth.

Hope you feel well enough to enjoy your scan tomorrow ph.

I made my appointment to see the supervisor of midwives today. October is looking like a very appointment heavy month. I'm not even entirely sure what I expect it to achieve, I just feel like I need a platform to air my grievances from last time, and to have realistic ideas of what to expect this time... Ee, i'm not sure if it was easier with the ignorance of first time or being forewarned...

No it's fine Fozza... I ended up with an emergency section, after a fairly long labour. But my main issue was that I felt completely out of control. I laboured for 12 hours at home fine, when I got to hospital my contractions stopped, they put me on a drip, I was terrified, midwife made no attempts to reassure me. I completely lost control and 24 hours later I ended up with a section... I was pretty depressed for the first few months of A's life too, which I'm sure was linked. My main issues really were with the care from the midwife. I'm sure with just a vague attempt from her to support me I'd have felt different, but who knows. I just don't want to feel that frightened again
