Pregnancy updates-July

More little BLWers in the making... <rubs hands>

I found the number of the midwife team for my area and said I wasn't satisfied with the care given. I was swapped immediately.

Hey P_H, sorry to hear that midwife was so useless. D'you keep the same midwife throughout pregnancy? I'd definitely switch if that was the case. (Here, it's the luck of the draw who you see from one appointment to the next, and also who attends your birth.)

I've just realised something tonight: I don't want to have another baby.

((())) to those due in the next few weeks and who are feeling hot and uncomfy. More hugs for those putting up with silly comments and lazy midwives.
I just went away for the weekend to a small country town with Koala and some family. Finding cafe/takeaway food that Koala and I could share that was dairy, nut and soy free (K's allergies) and pregnancy friendly was quite a feat! Thank goodness for hot chips.

I have just bawled because I ordered a coke at the drive-thru and then dropped my straw under my seat as I was driving off so I couldn't drink it.

Someone slap me please.

Oh ph, how about a hug instead ((())). I remember those days. I am well known, and ribbed constantly, for crying over Masterchef during BOTH my pregnancies lol.

((())) to all of you suffering with the heat or anything else.

Good luck to those of you who are imminent.

Have a huge ((((())))) ph. much more like it.

I bawled my eyes out last week because in the book I was reading, a girl left her family in the Valleys to go and live a (much better) life in London. I was sad for her mummy... She was 42. FFS!

And I bawled my eyes out yesterday because the cat wasn't in the house, but was in the garden....

And today because the in-laws left a butter knife on the side.

Isn't pregnancy fun?

Nothing worse than a lost straw when you are driving! I feel your weepyness PH, I cried all through the drama on BBC1 last night, cried whist cooking tea because I was so tired, and cried at several songs on the radio driving to work this morning. Hormone hell!

I'm bleeding. Am sat at work trying to be positive to all my patients, but it's hard. Have pelvic pain from spd but am fairly sure I'm loosing it - hormones are so unfair, aren't they? Am trying to be hopeful, but am probably deluding myself.

Big hugs mindy - hope it turns out to be nothing more than a little bleed. Phone hospital for advice? (((((((())))))))

Is it worth it? Am only 6 weeks, they can't even scan til 7 weeks can they? Feeling very tearful , have come home - gave up trying to be nice to patients. We may have only known for a week , but you make so many plans in that time.

I think it's worth it, I think you need to know one way or the other. I'm sure they can tell you whether you are/were pregnant, whether they can tell you if you've last it or not I don't know. I'm sure my friend had a scan at 5 weeks because she had poly cystic ovaries so they wanted to check everything straight away.

Hope everything is OK Mindy (())

Had my 36 week midwife check yesterday, baby‘s head is 3/5 engaged (2/5 palpable?) and midwife said it could pop out again as it‘s my second, but also looked amused when I said I had 2 weeks left at work. She said "we‘ll see...."

Baby is in a beautiful position for birth so I‘m trying to keep upright and sleep on my left to keep it there.

Am 37 weeks tomorrow so provided there‘s no last minute problems I should be OK for my waterbirth in the birthing centre.

Bags are all packed and in the car. It‘s feeling very real now!
