KC - I fear for the nap here too. My LO is 19 months as well. It's ok still if I take her out in the pram but today it was pissing it down and I was sooooo tired after more nights of pregnancy insomnia so I tried her in the cot. Major meltdown took place. So we ended up going out and (me) getting soaked. Not sure if that will always be possible with 2. And worry for the next few weeks of just me and her getting out for nap walks seeing as it takes so long to waddle anywhere now. She likes a good pace over the bumpy tree roots round here, which is getting less likely by the day.

SM - the last day they'll let me go if nothing happens spontaneously again is 23rd May. I'll be 40+13 then. Obviously hope things don't come to that but nice to know I'll have virtual company in theatre. Putting the final birth plan on paper next week after I see the consultant but still hoping for VBAC.

On the whole I'm doing ok though, thanks.

Ooo that would be nice to have virtual company in theatre. But fingers crossed a VBAC works out for you well before then!

Well according to my dates I'm now 12 weeks! Only a week left to wait for my scan and then maybe I can start believing this is actually happening!! ;) We've told our parents and siblings now but it still seems very surreal.

I know that feeling Kanga. I couldn't believe it til I'd seen the scan and then waiting for my 29 week scan I started disbelieving it again lol.

Wow Kanga's it's going quickly! Same for me, I've just realised I'm 18 weeks so that means I'm starting my 5th month. Can't believe it. No wonder I'm getting so fat :) I don't have to blame it all on the volume of cake I'm eating.

Tried to get an appointment the other day with the midwife but she's booked up until the 25th. I'm getting a bit tired of these long waiting times! That means I'll have my 20wk scan before I've seen my midwife for the first time. And for some reason my scan has been booked for a hospital miles away in the next town?? Bit weird. I can only think my local hospital must be fully booked or something.

What part of Wales are you in biddy, if you don't mind me asking. They seem to do things very strangely.

When I found out I was gp I rang drs and she made me an appt for 10 weeks with mw. Mw then booked my 12 week scan and a 16 week appt with her. All subsequent (is that the right word, baby brain taking over again, yesterday I found cheese cubes in the freezer which I'd been looking for for ages) appts are made at the time by whoever I'm seeing, ie mw makes all bookings with her and 20 week scan was booked when I had 12 week scan.

Only thing I'm still waiting for an appt for is physio which i was referred to after 24 week mw appt and still haven't heard anything about at 32 weeks. Which reminds me, I shall phone drs and get them to ask mw to phone me if possible so I can let her know.

Wow right back at you biddy! I was trying to work out how much further on than me you are.

I didn't really feel like this with the other 2 but it feels so surreal and I am still worrying they won't see a heartbeat next week. Absolutely nothing to base that on mind you.

I've been told ill hardly see the mw as its my third. I've got an appt for 16 weeks, will have 20 week scan, Gtt at 28 weeks as well as a mw appt I think, then an appt at 30 something. She said towards the end I'll see her more often but it doesn't seem like many appts!

Today, my two-year old patted my 25-week rotund belly, smiled knowingly and said, "Mama cookies in belly!"

Walking behind a very large lady yesterday J said "that's a lady mummy. She's just like you". I was about to be offended when he said a 6 foot tall black man was " a man just like daddy". Daddy is 5ft 7 and white.

I know I shouldn't complain as it's good to know baby is OK but I'm getting so much movement it is ridiculous. Sometimes it is really painful, and it feels constant. With J I had an anterior placenta so his movement was quite muffled, but these movements are so sharp, they take my breath away regularly. It is getting a bit much!

Thanks, guys, it's good to know I'm not alone!
Although, DF has now started telling her that there *are* cookies in my belly, not a baby. The poor child is going to be so disappointed come July.
Monkeydo, when I was pregnant with Kleintje, she was also a very active baby. I found I could move her around by using gentle pressure from the palm of my hand. If she was in a painful spot I'd just gently push her somewhere else.

EF - perhaps buy some cookies so when baby is born you can say "look who's brought us cookies!" :) perfect introduction technique :D
