Girls names

Postby Splash » 05 Dec 2013, 19:38

I'm looking for new inspiration for a girls name. It was good looking through the suggested boys names in other thread so thought I would come to you too.

I like more unusual/unique names but that means no one likes my suggestions :( . Also like a name that ends in 'a' as we are all 'y' and we have a difficult surname to match.

So far my favourite names are

Rhea ( DH thinks gona and dia though!!)

DH only likes a small few in this list but I say I choose since I go through the pain.

Any other suggestions that fit?

And of course Martha and greta fit too! I only seem to be able to come up with 'a' names!

I love Isla too, and Rhea! Also Seren, Noemi, Rhiannon, Tessa, Iris and Indigo. Only a couple that end in A though I'm afraid.

We have an Iona and nearly had a Rhoda or Rosanna

(and an Elodie and Merryn - but they don;t end in a)

We really wanted a third name beginning with a vowel for Merryn, but we just couldn;t find any we agreed on. We love her name now though!

Thanks, I'm not keen on Isla although DH likes it. I have loved Ava since we were expecting R but it's too popular around here.

I like Tahlia, Rosa and I really like Indigo but not sure what DH will think. He often just laughs at my name suggestions. His most favourite is Amelia but it's too common for me, in the top 10. R's name was different at the time but it's now 3rd!

We wanted a 3 syllable name ending in a, to match DD1's name.

We came up with the following shortlist
Tallulah (instantly vetoed by DH - booooo!)
Leila (not quite 3 but a nice name!)

I'll PM you the names of mine!
Mummy to my two miracle baby girls - The Thunder Fairies. Munchie born May 2010 and Ickle Pickle born July 2012.
