Boy's Names

Postby StJuniper » 10 Aug 2013, 12:40

So yesterday we found out the tadpole is a boy. We have had a girl's name ready since P was born but a boy's name? So far there are names I sort of like but they just don't feel like the One.

I'm into mid-century, classic names like James, Frank, Howard, Peter. DH likes some more off-the-beaten track ones like Emil and Jerome. Neither of us are into trendy, newer names. I'd like to steer clear of weird spellings, our last name already confuses people. I have no preference for letters or syllables. Suggestions?
Mama to two boys, the Scout Kid P, 02/26/12 and the Feral Kid R 12/15/13, and one little Tumbleweed girl, 05/27/16.

Henry, Jeffrey, James (always a good one that!), Thomas. I found boys names really hard to choose both times as we changed our minds after AD was born so we didn't use the boys name we had picked out for her for JT iyswim!
mum to AD (03/09) and JT (08/11) and 2 mad cats!

I love Emil but always think it'll get turned in to Emily in an English speaking country. I love Elijah and Bartholomew, shortened to Tolly. Both vetoed by Mr.C though.

Two boys, how lovely! Congrats :)

My DH is a Daniel.

Our boys names were Ted (I liked Theodore but DH liked Edward), Jacob, Joel.

I also like Lucas, Fred, Reggie, Henry and Oscar.

B's boy friends are Jack, Felix, Samuel, Noah, Wilfred (Wilf) and Miles.

Slightly different names that are also known: Jude, Robert (I know of one shortened to Bob - which is really nice I think), Fred, Isaac, Joseph (shortened to Joe), Joel, Felix
I really like Emil too!
