It's been ages since we had a party...

Don't panic, it's not tonight. Every so often we arrange to meet up online and talk rubbish. Not so different from the day-to-day, but with more people. Yes, it sounds naff, but just you wait... it's also oddly satisfying.

... and I want to have a hen night. :D

Would anyone care to join me either Friday or Saturday night for a few drinks and a good old chat?

Spread the word: I'd love it if we could get a good crowd together and have a forum reunion at the same time.

I can do either night, so we will go with whatever suits the most people.

I'd love to be part of this, but will be en vacances in France, with no Wi-fi. Boo. Otherwise, I will definitely have wine and be here in spirit! Have a fab night, and congratulations, btw!!!

I would love to come if I can! I'll be just off a bunch of airplanes, so may be insensible or just nonsensical, but if I can I'll definitely stick my nose in to throw some confetti! By the way, CONGRATULATIONS! ::premature confetti shower, just in case::

What day are you back, DF? Would Saturday suit you better than Friday? So far, the only day specific request I've had is that efficient_edna said on Facebook she can do Friday but not Saturday. Anyone else have any day specific requests?
The time difference is going to be a bit tricky for the Australians, I'm afraid. Yes, junglewoman, we are +0. I hope you can make it for a morning coffee, at least.

The actual wedding date is 19 September.

For my "real-life" hen party, I'm eschewing all the trip-trappery, but sure, for a virtual hen, let's bring on the matching t-shirts, L-plates, and willy straws! Who shall we have for our stripper??

I'm back on Friday, but I'll be in the same time zone as JW (I think?) so either way it'll be over night and I'll probably be there over morning coffee. :D Jet lag equals waking up at 4 AM, though, so either day is probably perfect.

This is probably a daft and/or dangerous question, but what's an L-plate?

They're the signs you have to display on your car when you're learning to drive. A certain type of British bride favours veil, tiara, spike heels, and the bare minimum of other clothing for her hen party, generally accessorised with L plates.

I'd love to come to the party! We've got friends staying Saturday night so Friday would be best for me, but I'm sure I'll manage to drop in anyway if it's Saturday...
