Oh blimey I haven't done the ironing...

Don't panic, it's not tonight. Every so often we arrange to meet up online and talk rubbish. Not so different from the day-to-day, but with more people. Yes, it sounds naff, but just you wait... it's also oddly satisfying.

Oh blimey I haven't done the ironing...

And I REALLY can't be arsed.

What am I going to wear to work tomorrow?

Use a clean sheet as a toga?

...or were you looking for serious answers?! Something you can wear with a jacket/cardy that covers the creases.

Heck I say wear a party dress and don't say a word, rock up like you wear them all the time and see how long it takes for comments.

wss, v neck jumper over a shirt - you can iron the collar on the work top on top of a tea towel - that's all people will see. Oooooh your glass looks empty, here let me......

Thanks. It is the bottom half I am struggling with. I have relatively ok and non-ironing requiring things for top, but all my trousers are linen or stupid other fabrics that need ironing. And my jeans, as back up option (and would be justified as not supposed to work Wednesdays) have been washed today.

My only option is a smart skirt that is usually a wedding skirt, which will raise eyebrows as I never wear skirts and am generally the scruffiest person in the office.

arghghghghgh

See, see, this would all be so much easier if I didn't work. GRRRRRR.

Ooooo, wine, thanks tgd, so much better now.

I often think we'd all be much happier if we went about our daily business in fancy dress once a week..... I've always wanted to dress up as a roast potato.

Love it!!! :D :D

Roast potato, interseting one there, how would you convey the crispiness as opposed to a jacket potato that might look similar?

LOL!! Where would you start with putting together a roast potato outfit?!...& how would you ensure it was light & fluffy on the inside? I can never get that right...

Ah now I have often thought about that..... I would try to achieve a slight fluffed up but crispy appearance with a rather clever application of netting papier mache and then Mod Podge the whole thing to give it sheen.

Light and fluffy on the inside - it's the quality/type of potato and the heat of the oven so I'm told.

Roast potato might be a bit inflexible. How about a cloud of mash?

No idea how you would dress up as a roast potato, but now I really want to eat roast potatoes! May have to settle for crisps as the next best thing...

That really is the most random conversation we've ever had! How to make a roast potato outfit, I am sitting here on my own actually laughing out loud!
