Missed the party :(

Don't panic, it's not tonight. Every so often we arrange to meet up online and talk rubbish. Not so different from the day-to-day, but with more people. Yes, it sounds naff, but just you wait... it's also oddly satisfying.

Doh! And after such a crap start to the week.....

Been at work tonight and heard even more not very nice stories about the w*****. I don't want to work in this place so it looks like I will be handing in my notice in the next few days.

Still I've had chocolate now so much happier :D :D

How is everybody else's party night going?

Hey join in, the more the merrier - there is a lovely rant in the kitchen if you need to unload before starting the Champagne and Straw challenge.....
So somehow it happened, my weaners are at school,
I'm still here though and people I'll try to fool,
with tales of advice giving and of wanting to know
But really here's the only place I ever want to go.

Oh no! I was looking for this thread after I saw on another you are going to write a letter of resignation! He sounds like a real jerk. Is there no manager who can help resolve the issue. Seems a Shane you're going to be punished for his behaviour.

can I reminisce for a moment? this has made me remember the first blw party I attended, DH was working late, M was about 7months and I still hadn't left the house after dark since she was born, so I sat in our spare room with a few glasses of wine, crisps and the old huge computer and had a fab time with you lot. Now M is 3 and the spare room is about to become baby number 2's room and I'm on a little laptop.... where did the time go? sigh.

Unfortunately the situation is a little complicated in that the w***** in question is married to the man whose practice it is and the w***** never gets pulled up on his mistakes and this sort of behaviour. Staff have been leaving regularly for the last 5 years (since the w***** has been on the scene) due to his outbursts and irrational behaviour. I have a 'meeting' with him on Tuesday morning to sort things out but sadly I already know how it will go. I will have my resignation letter with me but will see how it goes. The worry is that if this situation gets sorted favourably I can't be sure it won't happen again, maybe not me next time but it makes the atmosphere not a very nice one. :(

I really want to work for myself (I'm an aromatherapist) I just didn't want to start having to build my own client base whilst the little people are still so young. It's just pushing me to do it earlier than I really wanted to.

Definitely a case of saying with confidence 'Thank you for giving me the opportunity to start a new venture - I doubt I would have been so brave if this situation hadn't developed'. More fool them for losing you. x
