Hi, I just looked at your blog, and I wanted to subscribe using yahoo reader, but I can't? I am totally new to blogging/reading blogs so maybe I am being dumb, but on the other blogs I have subscribed to, I just clicked on the RSS logo, an chose yahoo.... On yours I had to enter my email address...

I wouldn't be worried if you did have my email, honest! But I wouldn't put my address in a site I don't know, so I wonder why there is a need for it? And why some have nice easy subscribe via RSS buttons, and some (like yours) don't.
Anyone else know?

its all about the widgets. most bloggers have a widget that directs readers to their feed reader of choice. There should be some sort of a menu on the dashboard for you to add various widgets, wacky.

heidi - you should be able to subscribe in your blog reader. Just pop the url into whatever subscribe button there is (I use google reader, so don't know anything about yahoo, sorry I can't be moe specific)

I only discovered them last night after seeing someone on here mention them! I always wondered how people kept up to date with blog posts, as I would sometimes see links to Kat's from facebook, but them when I looked a her bog I would have missed loads of posts! I am using yahoo as that is where my emails are, I just googled "blog reader" and had a snoop about.

Thanks for the help kat, I have found the URL box on yahoo, but nothing is working, I think it might be a yahoo issue though as I am trying to subscribe to 2 other blogs and I keep getting an error message, asking me to try again later. So I will try again another day....

Have been having a play with the blog, and there doesn't seem to be a widget for that on wordpress Kat. The only 1 there is is the one that's already there, where you have to put in your email addy.

The widget you want is "RSS Links". Folks can right-click to copy the link that says "RSS - Posts" and paste it into any reader.
