I've been meaning to tell you this for ages, but Babybear has started saying 'yum-yum-yum' while eating. That's how she says it so that's how I'm spelling it. Occasionally she does veer towards 'nyum-nyum' if I'm honest.
I'm not a big one for the whole 'my baby does cute things' school of blogging, but in this case I'm prepared to make an exception as it is simply THE SWEETEST thing on the planet.
So here goes… get it out of your system. What Cute Things is your baby doing? (Weaning-related, if possible, or we'll be here forever.)

Munch doesnt yum-yum but she does say Mmmmmmm while stuffing her face with food, especially twiglets which are her new favourite thing…..
dizziebaby's cutest thing is the moment she's sat in her highchair and i attach her tray with her food on. her face lights up and she just grabs grabs grabs. it's like she hasn't eaten for a week! she's horrified if i sit her in her highchair with only toys to amuse her..she looks at me like how dare you! where is the food?!
Occasionally Angelcake has trouble getting slippery food in her mouth. She'll chase it with her mouth open round her hands, then up her arms, and often win by grabbing her whole cloth bib and shoving it in her mouth to suck the food off!
Also we've been doing a bit of baby signing, and I think she's trying to copy me enthusiastically when i sign 'more'. My heart leaps!

oh my god how grim. i had written 'aaw they are rather lovely… and then put 'aitch tucks hair behind ears and goes off to do Somethimg Important and not at all Soppy' but because i put it in those 'greater than and less than' signs it disappeared. how humiliating…
Aw Thell! BabyRed does that too, then gets confused and tries to eat the bib – occasionally she tries to eat her own hand as well. A baby of small brain.
Right, I'm off to behead some ickle furry animals or something else similarly anti-cute.
Well, kinda along the lines of cute things they do… I was at IKEA at lunch time yesterday, and both ds and i were having lunch, when we spotted a family who had to have staggered meals, feeding the munchkins first, then them, while dealing with bored, fussy children. Needless to say, i had to mention to my friend how nice it was that Bebe was eating his mango, cucumber and porridge pancake without me having to puree stuff, and spoon it into him. I know I shouldn't gloat…
The Weeble and I went for a coffee with some friends yesterday… he was sitting on my lap and I gave him a moon biscuit. He chewed on it thoughtfully for a bit and then made very strenuous efforts to dunk it in my tea! Not once, but every time the cup came within reach… I ended up with tea full of bickie crumbs. And he was so impressed with himself!
Feeling a depressed mummy today; just been to see the nursery he'll go to when I go back to uni in February. It's only for a few hours a week, but still… I'll miss my bubba!
aw bunny, i'm sure you'll both adjust quickly to the new regime… is the nursery near uni?

Hey Bunny, I too will be leaving the bubba soon. You are lucky I will be doing it 4 days a week! My baba going to nursery too. It seems very good and she is going again in the morning for a trial. 3 whole hours without me!!! Don't be too sad. Am very proud of her BLW and hope to revolutionise her nursery with our methods. Have you mentioned BLW to nursery yet? My are happy to accomidate – as I am paying them!!!!
Boomer dips her hand in her drink and licks the drops off her hand, I think she's been watching the cat!
